Weekly Theme: Winter! (January 4-7, 2022)
The first week of January will be all about winter! The classrooms will be reading "The Hat" by Jan Brett and "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow" by Lucille Colandro. The infant and toddler rooms will have some winter clothes to play with and--with the help of a teacher--practice putting on their hands and heads. If we have some fresh snowfall, the toddlers will have some snowy sensory bins to explore!
Preschool & Pre-K
There's quite a winter wonderland in store for the older classrooms! The Preschool and Pre-K will have snow and ice sensory bins and create tissue paper snowflake prints. As well, they will explore counting and colors using snowmen and mittens. The Pre-K classroom will also practice predicting and retelling events using this week's books.
