A child with a temperature of 100 degrees (forehead or underarm) must be kept home until they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (tylenol, motrin, etc.)
A child with an undiagnosed rash that is accompanied by itched and/or a fever can return once the rash has cleared up or a doctor has confirmed it is not contagious.
A child who vomits 2 or more times in a 24 hour period must be kept home until they are free of vomiting for at least two meals.
A child with an itchy head and active lice must stay home until they are treated with appropriate lice treatment at home or professionally AND proof is provided to the office.
A child who has 3 or more loose or abnormal bowel movements in 24 hours must be kept home until they are free of diarrhea for at least 24 hours.
A child with eyes that are red, itchy, crusty, and/or draining must be evaluated by a doctor and have a note saying they are allowed to return to school.
