About
Lake Harriet Community Child Care (formerly Lake Harriet Christian Child Care) has been providing quality childcare since 1983. Our mission is to provide high quality care that is affordable and attainable for all. As well, we believe in creating a work environment that truly values teachers and their dedication to children. LHCCC strives to provide a stable, trustworthy, and kind place for your child to learn and explore.
Program Perks
Growing With Music: All classrooms have weekly music classes with Ms. Becky, a credentialed music therapist!
Brightwheel App: Message directly with teachers throughout the day and get updates on eating, sleeping, and potty training as well as pictures throughout the day.
Small Classroom Sizes: Smaller classrooms means closeknit friendships between children and plenty of one-on-one time with teachers.
Indoor Play Space: Minnesota weather can be unpredictable! An indoor activity area makes sure we get our wiggles out, rain or shine.
Quiet Location: Located on a quiet street within walking distance to the creek and Arden Park where the children can safely explore nature and practice their large motor skills.
Substitute Staff: We have multiple substitute staff members. When a teacher is sick or on vacation, there is a familiar face to fill in and teach their students.
Commercial Kitchen: Our full-time kitchen manager prepares breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack daily, all of which is included in tuition. Our menu can be found here.

Board of Directors
The LHCCC Board of Directors is comprised of three parent representatives, three ECLC members. Our Board Chair is neither a member of the ECLC congregation or a current parent at LHCCC. LHCCC is not affiliated with the church and their involvement in the board is to ensure a healthy and fruitful relationship between the child care and the church.
Current families are notified when there is an opening on the board of directors and new members are voted on by the current board.
If you have any questions or concerns for the board of directors, you can contact them at BoardLHCCC@gmail.com.
